Versatility has been central to Brodeur’s multidisciplinary practice as he has worked across the fields of painting, sculpture, drawing and collage.  Various techniques are employed to suit thematic demands for distinct series of work.  He oscillates between content that is in diametric opposition, such as figurative paintings that are playful and humorous to abstract sculptures that are psychologically charged.  It is an accumulation of these dichotomies that characterize his broad range of concepts - a perpetual state of confusion that underscores the effect from the bombardment of information in our time of instant gratification.

Aaron Brodeur (b. 1983) is currently based in Middleboro, MA on ten acres of wooded marsh along the Nemasket River.  He received formal training from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, where he graduated with a BFA magna cum laude in 2009.  His works have been exhibited in venues such as the Fitchburg Art Museum in Fitchburg, MA, the Cape Cod Museum of Art in Dennis, MA, the Boston Sculptors Gallery in Boston, MA, and Worcester State University in Worcester, MA, as well as numerous other galleries and institutions.  He has works in the collection of the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, and works on loan in the Greater Boston area.  Furthermore, Brodeur has curated an exhibition at the ArtsWorcester Gallery in Worcester, MA, and was a featured artist at the renowned Levitate Music and Arts Festival in Marshfield, MA.
